I made a quiz for startup founders
I decided I'd make a quiz for startup founders. I love playing online quizes. So each day you will get a question about when a startup was created. Have a try! I hope you enjoy playing it:

I made it partly for fun and partly to get some more newsletter subscribers. I hope to get a few cheeky backlinks as well. It took a few attempts to get this right in ChatGPT but eventually I got something I'm happy with. I wanted code I could add easily to my Ghost blog, which powers my High Signal website, so my only option here was plain JavaScript to handle the logic.
The JavaScript just loops through an array and finds a new question and answer for each day. I have loaded it with about 50 questions so I'll need to add some more at some stage.
I wasn't sure if I should aim it squarely at indie founders or startups more generally. In the future I may make it so that there is a pair of questions each day with one being about VC-startups e.g. Stripe and another question about an indie startup. For now, there's just one question and so I called it Startup Year. I could have spent weeks thinking of the perfect name but it's best to just put it out there.
My theme of the year is ruthlessness so I just decided to put something out there and then I can improve it from there. So many of us wait until things are absolutely perfect before we show people and that is usually a bad thing as it leads to procrastination and then you never actually release anything to the public.
